MGA’s treatment program is founded on evidence-based, therapeutic interventions and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address specific treatment issues such as depression, anxiety, avoidance behaviors, self- esteem, and more.

Upon admission, each girl is provided an individualized Treatment Plan designed for her unique needs. The plan is reviewed monthly at Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (ITT) meetings with the resident and others who are involved in her welfare. Every resident will be assigned an individual therapist (Master’s level) and an individual youth counselor (IC) to assist in treatment plan implementation.

Staff provide therapeutic interventions within a highly structured environment that promotes safety and supports the learning process. Every day residents are provided opportunities to make decisions that impact them both in the short term and long run. Through continuous feedback and guidance, the residents learn from both their successes and
shortcomings.

At MGA’s residential treatment facility, our treatment program is founded on evidence-based, therapeutic interventions and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address specific treatment issues such as teenage depression, teen trauma treatment, anxiety, avoidance behaviors, self- esteem, and more.
